Mike and I were bunnies. Extremely fertile bunnies who didn’t use backup contraception when I transitioned between two brands of the Pill. Second baby? ALSO conceived while on birth control, this time the patch — a patch that DESPERATELY worked to come unstuck every time I pulled off my pants or undies. In other words, 2 Rounds of Birth Control + 2 Babies = MEANT TO DAMN WELL BE. . .

I’m trying not to blow a gasket that you’re telling me my damn Christmas tree’s gonna be a fucked-up mess for years and years to come. You’re right: it’s enough to make a woman curl up and start lovingly petting that scrip bottle. . .

I’m always amazed at those people who say they shop for Christmas all year long. Who are you weirdos thinking about Christmas IN MARCH?!?!

Way to go, Trac!!

Unfortunately, with the recent move and two little ones, we are still Christmas’ bitch. We bought what we needed, but nothing is wrapped. We had to find it all at Target because the kids were too fussy to visit multiple stores. We decided to pass on cards all together this year. Photos, furthest thing from my mind these days. Christmas tree is up so that’s one in our column.

Funny thing about kids and ornaments. Why do they sleep with them? Every morning I have to pick up the pile of ornaments out of Evan’s bed. Why? Aren’t they uncomfortable?

I have decided to cook the big dinner this year. Just Eric and I will eat it, but what the hell. Time to celebrate being in CA again!!

I adore the fact that you own your love and its time frame. You stab a flag pole into the ground (with a big red heart and white background on the flag, natch) and stand with your hands on your hips.

Awesome.

Now on to serving Christmas. Way to slam it out of the park. I also struggle with the Christmas tree decorating efforts over here. It used to be the bottom third of the tree but now my older two (6 and 9) climb on the arm of the couch, which is next to the tree, and eff with the top of the tree.

It could make one want to go ballistic if not for Ativan and deep breathing exercises. (I see Xanax and Ativan as a potato/potahto issue since I’m not a huge fan of tomatoes.)

Snaps on taming Christmas. I bet she won’t bend over in the shower next year.

We kicked Christmas ass too! And by that I mean I finished yesterday, when I found out Chapters would ship next day in the Greater Toronto Area, and Grandpa, John & Cindy have now received their gifts. They are unwrapped, the invoices may be inside, but they are THERE BY CHRISTMAS!
We have vowed to start next year Jan 2nd(yeah, right)
